Cocktail Server

    Essential Job Functions. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Interact with guests by taking their orders, making recommendations, providing accurate bills, serving food and drinks, processing
    payments, and providing guest needs for a superior guest experience.
  • Take guest orders and provide beverage service of wine, mixed/well drinks, and bottled or draft beer.
  • Accuracy in handling monetary transactions, including counting back change to the guest.
  • Follows all cash register and cash/credit card handling procedures as required for the position.
  • Collect money for all drinks served. Balance cash receipts at end of shift.
  • Check identification of customers in order to verify age requirements for service of alcoholic beverages.
  • Handle multiple tables and tasks in an efficient and pro-active manner.
  • Serve snacks or other food items to customers as requested or required.
  • Learn about our food and beverages, such as opening wine bottles, various beers, and cocktails offered.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, such as preparing ingredients and restocking including straws, etc.
  • Clean up after guests, clear work areas and service tables. Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
  • Monitor customers who become loud and obnoxious. In extreme cases, obtain management assistance when a guest must be
    asked to leave or be physically removed. Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps
    such as persuading customers to stop drinking, or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated patrons.
  • Must have English comprehension skills for purposes of safety, job instructions, policy and guest service.
  • Be on time all the time. Your attendance is essential. Follow all CALL IN procedures if you will be absent.
  • Works under their immediate restaurant supervision.

Physical Demands and Work Environment include but are not limited to:

  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, touch, climb, lift, and read (see) for extended periods of time (8 hours+).
  • Must be able to regularly and safely lift and move boxes, supplies, and materials weighing 25 lbs. or more
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, noisy, and sometimes limited movement environment.
  • Must be able to maintain sanitation, food safety, and other food service environment requirements.
